Terms of Use

Last updated 14 July 2026.

By creating an account or using Kuantura, you agree to these terms. Please read them — especially the part about what Kuantura is and isn't.

Kuantura is a tool, not an advisor. It helps you track and reason about your own investments. It does not give investment advice, manage money, or execute trades, and it is not a licensed or registered financial institution.

Who you're contracting with

Kuantura is an independent product operated from Norway. These terms are an agreement between you and the Kuantura operator. You can reach us at support@kuantura.com.

What Kuantura is

Kuantura is a personal portfolio-analytics and forecasting tool. It imports your transactions, computes metrics, and runs Monte Carlo projections from your own holdings. Every decision you make based on it is yours alone.

What we own, and what you may do with it

Your data is yours. Your transactions, holdings, notes and the reports you generate from them belong to you, and you can use, export and share them however you like — including commercially. Nothing here changes that.

Kuantura is ours. The software, the interface and its design, the brand and name, the documentation, and the methodology behind the metrics and projections are owned by us or licensed to us, and all rights are reserved.

While your account is in good standing we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use Kuantura for your own portfolio (or, on a business plan, for the portfolios you are authorised to manage). That licence does not let you:

Not investment advice

Nothing shown in Kuantura — including projections, metrics, allocations, or any figure — constitutes investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Kuantura is not authorised to provide investment advice and does not do so.

No guarantees

Market data comes from third parties

Prices, exchange rates, company names, sectors and logos are retrieved from third-party sources (for example Yahoo Finance, Finnhub, Stooq, CoinGecko and Norges Bank). We don't produce that data and we can't guarantee it is accurate, complete, or up to date. It may be delayed, revised, or occasionally wrong, and a source may be unavailable. Every figure Kuantura computes inherits that. Always check against your broker's own statements before you act on anything.

"As is" service

Kuantura is in active development and is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Features may change or break, and data may occasionally be unavailable. We don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Who can use Kuantura

To create a Kuantura account you must be at least 18 years old, or of legal age in your jurisdiction, whichever is older. Kuantura is built for people managing their own investments and is not intended for minors.

Your account

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your credentials to yourself, don't let anyone else use your account, and tell us at support@kuantura.com as soon as you think it may have been compromised. If you give someone else access, you remain responsible for what they do.

Your responsibilities

Acceptable use

When using Kuantura, you agree not to:

What you promise about what you put in

When you enter, import or connect data, you promise us that:

These are promises, not just house rules. If you break one and we suffer a loss because of it, that's a breach of this agreement.

Plans, payment and renewal

Kuantura offers a free plan and one or more paid plans. During early access the service is provided free of charge; the paid plans described on our pricing page apply from public launch. The plan you're on, its price and its billing interval are shown to you before you pay and confirmed by email.

Taxes

Prices may be shown excluding value-added tax or sales tax. Any VAT, MVA, GST or sales tax that applies where you live will be added and shown at checkout, and you are responsible for it. If you're buying as a business and you give us a valid VAT number, we'll apply the reverse charge where the rules allow.

Your right to cancel (consumers in the EEA and the UK)

If you're a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you normally have 14 days to change your mind about a purchase and get your money back, with no reason needed.

Digital services are a special case. If you want to use the paid features straight away, we need you to expressly ask us to start immediately and to acknowledge that, once we have fully performed, you lose the 14-day right to cancel. We ask for that at checkout. If you'd rather keep the full 14 days, don't give that consent, and your paid features will start when the period ends.

If you cancel within the 14 days and we had already started with your consent, we may keep an amount proportionate to what you used before you cancelled. To cancel, just email support@kuantura.com — a plain sentence is enough, you don't need a form.

Refunds

Outside the cancellation right above, payments are non-refundable and we don't refund part-used periods — you simply keep access until the period you paid for runs out. We will of course refund you where the law says we must, and we'd rather sort out a genuine problem than argue about it: email support@kuantura.com.

If you break these terms

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay, attempt to harm the service or other users, create a security or legal risk, or use Kuantura for illegal activity. We'll try to give you reasonable notice and a chance to put it right — unless the situation is urgent, for example active abuse or a security threat, in which case we may act immediately.

Beyond that we may take whatever action is reasonable in the circumstances, including blocking access from the addresses you're using, refusing you a new account, telling anyone who is legally entitled to know, and taking legal action. If we have to spend money because you broke these terms, we can recover it.

After termination your right to use Kuantura ends. You can still export your data on request for a reasonable period; how it is deleted is described in the Privacy Policy.

Your data

Your data remains yours. You can export it to JSON at any time and delete your account whenever you like. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Feedback

If you send us an idea, suggestion or bug report, we're free to use it to improve Kuantura without owing you anything and without any obligation to keep it confidential. You keep the right to use your own idea however you like. Don't send us anything you're not happy for us to use.

Limitation of liability

Kuantura is a calculation and reporting tool. Every investment decision you make is yours. We are not liable for losses on your investments, for decisions you take based on anything Kuantura shows you, or for third-party data being wrong, delayed or unavailable.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunity, or loss of data. Where we are liable, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you actually paid us in that period (and, if you're on the free plan, to NOK 1,000).

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you're a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights, and we remain responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of us breaking this agreement.

Covering our costs

If someone brings a claim against us because of something you did — data you had no right to put into Kuantura, a law you broke, a promise above that you didn't keep — you'll cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees. We'll tell you promptly if it happens, we won't settle without asking you, and you can take over the defence if you'd rather.

If you're a consumer, this only applies to loss actually caused by you breaking this agreement, and it never goes beyond what the law allows us to ask of you.

Emails we send you

Some emails are part of the service and you can't opt out of them while you have an account: sign-in codes, password resets, security alerts, billing receipts, and notice of changes to these terms. We'll only send you anything else — product news, tips, offers — if you've agreed to it, and every one of those has an unsubscribe link that works.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Kuantura develops. For minor changes we'll simply update the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations — for example the price, the billing terms, or the limits on our liability — we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app, and tell you the date it takes effect. If you don't accept it, stop using Kuantura and cancel any paid plan before that date. Continuing to use Kuantura after it takes effect means you accept it.

You can stop using Kuantura and delete your account at any time. Cancelling a paid plan does not delete your account; deleting your account is a separate action in Settings.

Business and professional users

If you use Kuantura for a business, professional or advisory purpose — for example an advisory firm, a family office, or managing money for someone other than yourself — you are not a consumer. The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to you, and you confirm you have the right to process any third-party data you put into Kuantura and that doing so is lawful. You'll cover us for claims that arise from you breaking that promise.

If part of these terms doesn't hold

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, that part is treated as removed (or trimmed back to what is enforceable) and everything else stays in force.

Transferring this agreement

You can't transfer your account or these terms to someone else without our written permission. We may transfer them to a company that takes over Kuantura, provided your rights are not reduced. If that ever happens, we'll tell you.

The whole agreement

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Kuantura, and replace anything said before. If the two ever conflict on how we handle your personal data, the Privacy Policy wins.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law, and the Norwegian courts have jurisdiction.

If you're a consumer, that doesn't take anything away from you: you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, and you can bring proceedings in your own local courts. Nothing here changes that.

Before going anywhere near a court, please just email support@kuantura.com — almost everything is faster to fix that way. Consumers in Norway can also take a complaint to Forbrukerrådet, and consumers elsewhere in the EEA can use their national consumer body.
