Cookies and Device Storage Notice
Version 1.0 · Effective 13 October 2026.
This notice explains what Kuantura stores on, and reads from, your device when you use the website at kuantura.com and the Kuantura application. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
In brief
- No cookies unless you allow analytics. Kuantura does not set any cookies in order to operate the Service. If you allow optional analytics on the public website, a single analytics cookie is set (section 3).
- Local storage only for what you ask for. The application uses your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in, remember your settings and load your data quickly. This is strictly necessary to provide the Service, so no consent is requested for it.
- No advertising and no cross-site tracking. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.
- Consent first. Optional analytics on the public website and the public demonstration run only if you allow them, and never inside your signed-in account. If we introduce any other technology that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before it is used and update this notice.
1.What this notice covers
1.1The rules on cookies also apply to other technologies that store information on a device or read information from it, such as the local storage of a web browser. This notice therefore covers all such storage, and not only cookies.
1.2“Local storage” is a storage area in your browser that is reserved for a particular website. Unlike a cookie, its contents are not sent automatically with each request to the website.
2.What is stored on your device
2.1The table below lists the categories of information that Kuantura stores in your browser’s local storage. All of it is first-party: it is set by Kuantura, under names beginning with kuantura., ku or sb-, and is not made accessible to third parties.
| Category | What it contains and why | Basis | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session | A session token issued when you sign in, and basic details of the signed-in account, so that you stay signed in between visits and requests can be authenticated. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out, or until the session expires. |
| Settings and preferences | Your choices in the application, such as language, display currency, date format, theme, layout, selected account, benchmark selections and similar options, so that the application appears as you have set it. | Strictly necessary | Until you change them or clear your browser’s site data. |
| Local copy of your data | A copy of your recent transactions, account labels and watchlists, and of market data already retrieved for your holdings, so that the application loads quickly and continues to work on an unreliable connection. | Strictly necessary | Until it is replaced by newer data, or until you clear your browser’s site data. |
| Data-service keys you enter | If you choose to enter your own access key for a third-party data service in the settings, the key is kept on your device so that the application can use it on your behalf. | Strictly necessary | Until you remove the key or clear your browser’s site data. |
| Website theme | Whether you chose the light or the dark version of the website. | Strictly necessary | Until you change it or clear your browser’s site data. |
| Technical markers | Markers that record the version of stored data and whether one-off steps, such as an introductory tour, have been completed. | Strictly necessary | Until you clear your browser’s site data. |
| Consent choice | Whether you allowed or declined the optional analytics described in section 3, so that you are not asked again on every visit and your choice is respected. | Strictly necessary | Until you change your choice or clear your browser’s site data. |
2.2“Strictly necessary” means that the storage is required in order to provide a service that you have expressly requested. The law does not require consent for such storage, but it does require us to tell you about it, which is the purpose of this notice.
2.3Some of this information is personal data. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data and the rights you have.
3.Analytics and similar technologies
3.1With your consent, Kuantura uses a product-analytics and session-recording service on the public pages of the website at kuantura.com and in the public demonstration of the application, which displays sample data only. The purpose is to understand how those pages are used so that we can improve them.
3.2If you give your consent, the service: (a) stores an identifier on your device, in one cookie and in your browser’s local storage, so that visits from the same browser can be recognised as such; (b) records the pages you view, the elements you select and technical information about your browser and device; and (c) records your session on those pages so that it can be replayed. Text that you type into form fields is masked and is not recorded.
3.3The identifier is kept on your device for up to 12 months, or until you clear your browser’s site data. The service is supplied by a provider that acts as our processor and stores the information in the European Union. Sections 3 and 7 of the Privacy Policy describe the personal data involved, the retention period and the recipient.
3.4Nothing described in this section is loaded, stored or read before you have given your consent. The option to decline is presented as clearly as the option to accept. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by selecting “Cookies” in the footer of the home page at kuantura.com, which presents the choice again.
3.5We do not run product analytics or session recording inside your signed-in account. We do not use advertising technologies.
3.6If we introduce any other technology that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before it is used and update this notice to describe the technology, its purpose, its provider and how long it stores information.
4.Requests to third parties
4.1We host our fonts ourselves, so loading a Kuantura page does not send a request to an external font service.
4.2The application retrieves public market data, and loads certain open-source software components, from third parties. These requests do not store anything on your device on our behalf, but they do disclose your IP address to the third party concerned. Section 6 of the Privacy Policy describes this.
5.Your choices
5.1You can delete everything that Kuantura has stored on your device at any time by clearing the site data for kuantura.com in your browser’s settings. You will then be signed out, and your settings on that device will return to their defaults. Data stored in your account is not affected.
5.2You can configure your browser to block local storage. If you do, the application will not be able to keep you signed in and may not work correctly.
6.Changes and contact
6.1We will update this notice when the storage we use changes. Each version carries a version number and an effective date.
6.2Questions about this notice can be sent to support@kuantura.com.
